Enrollment Process

Solid Ground School offers a unique educational experience and is guided by a distinct educational philosophy. We want to ensure our school is right for your family.

The enrollment application for the 2021-2022 School Year is available here. The deadline for priority enrollment consideration is May 12.

Our goal with enrollment is to attract families that appreciate and support our approach to education, value outdoor engagement, and are committed to joining our school community. To help ensure a good fit for your family, our enrollment process has typically begun with attending an open house or tour to learn more about the school and our unique approach. Due to the on-going pandemic, we have instead created a self-guided tour on our website and are conducting family interviews using video conferencing or phone.

May 12, 2021 is the priority enrollment deadline for new applicants.

Once we hear back from returning families, we'll open up our enrollment process to new applicants. Apply now to be considered for priority enrollment. Any applications submitted after the deadline will be considered on a rolling basis if remaining spots are available.

Step 1: Take a Self-Guided Tour

In lieu of attending an Open House, please take yourself on this self-guided tour of Solid Ground School in order to understand what it is we offer by looking through the following pages and watching the video.

Step 2: Submit your application by May 12

Submit an application form with a non-refundable $60 application fee. When your application, fee, and income verification information have been submitted AND you have attended the above self-guided tour or an open house, your application will be considered complete. Your child will then be added to our pool of applicants and/or be placed on our waiting list.

Step 3: Attend a remote interview

A remote interview with your family will be scheduled by video conferencing (or phone if needed) to give you a chance to ask any questions that you may have and to ultimately help us all to decide if we have a good fit. Expect to hear from our administrator by late May to schedule your June interview slot.

Step 4 : Hear back with a final decision

Expect an invitation to join our school community or a letter of regret after we review applications. We collect applications and consider them as a group so that we can create the best possible classroom fit for children and families.

Step 5: Pay your Deposit

Finalize your enrollment by paying a refundable deposit equal to one month’s tuition by the deadline. This payment will be applied to your child’s final monthly tuition payment.
