Our Enrollment Process: 

A Thoughtful and Relational Approach

We approach enrollment with the same care and intention we bring to our classrooms. Our process is designed to give families time and space to get to know us — and for us to get to know you.

1. Apply Online for 2026-2027 by April 22

Submit an application for your child to be considered for the upcoming school year.
📌 Families interested in the 2026–2027 school year should submit an application before our priority deadline of April 22, 2026.

Applications submitted after the priority deadline will be considered separately as space allows.  As our available spaces fill quickly, we strongly recommend submitting your application by the April 22 deadline for priority consideration.

🌱 Interested in a Future Year?

Children must be 4 years old by the first day of school to enroll in PreK at Solid Ground School.

If your child is not yet eligible, please complete our Interest Form rather than submitting an application.  This will ensure you're in our enrollment system and receive updates when it's time to apply.  Because young children grow and change so quickly, a current application specific to the upcoming school year helps us better understand each child’s readiness and your family’s needs.  

2. Watch your email--including your spam folder  

Once you've submitted your form (either an application or interest form,) be on the lookout for an email from us.  If you haven't received an email with 3-5 school days, please check your spam folder.  These emails come from our application system, and some people's emails seem to filter them out.  If, after checking your spam folder and waiting you still haven't received a reply, please feel free to reach out to admin at solidgroundschool dot com.

3. Attend a Family Tour (by invitation only)

If space is available in your child’s class, you’ll be invited to schedule a tour with our Director. Tours are an opportunity to visit our space, ask questions, and explore whether Solid Ground is the right fit for your child and family.  An application fee of $60 is only requested when a tour is scheduled.

4. Submit Required Documents

As part of your application, we’ll ask for income verification to help us determine tuition on a sliding scale. We are committed to equity and accessibility and use a values-based approach to tuition.

5. Receive an Admissions Decision

Applications received by the April 22 deadline will be considered in our first round of decisions, with notifications sent in mid-to-late-May. Applications submitted after the deadline will be reviewed on a rolling basis, as space allows.

Because our classes are small and many families return year to year, we often have more applicants than available spaces. While this means we’re not able to offer placement to every applicant, we’re always grateful for the interest in our community and thoughtfully review each application.
